Amazing discounts for families at York Castle Museum in Visit York’s York Attractions Week!

From 17 to 23 August 2026, York will see its first ever ‘Attractions Week’ hosted by Visit York, featuring amazing offers and discounts across the city and York Castle Museum is taking part!

York Castle Museum is partnering with Visit York to offer a special family ticket for the discounted price of £40! Covering two adults and up to four children, the ticket offers a significant discount for families visiting during this special offer week.

The ticket still has all the benefits of regular ticket, lasting for 12 months and giving access to York Castle Museum’s incredible selection of exhibits from the recreated Victorian Street, Kirkgate, the oldest of its kind in Britain, to other recreated rooms, fashion through the centuries, celebrations of the Swinging Sixties, and the authentic prison cells which once housed infamous highwayman Dick Turpin.

With the 12-month ticket, visitors can enjoy a wide programme of events and activities throughout the year. Visit during August to enjoy the final weeks of the amazing summer programme with nostalgic games for the whole family and wonderful floral displays accompanied by music, historical cooking demonstrations and interactive trails on selected days.

Families can use this offer to return for October half term and Christmas displays, as well as for school holidays until August 2027 and enjoy more historical fun, seasonal entertainment and half term experiences at this incredible discounted price.

York Resident children enjoy free entry all year round, providing access to those aged under-16 living in a postcode within City of York Council district when visiting with a paying adult.

Enjoy York Attractions Week at York Castle Museum and across York and soak up the summer atmosphere, head to Visit York’s or York Castle Museum’s website for more details and to book tickets.
