Nicola Dale approaches art as a question of performativity – how objects, actions and people come together.

In this exclusive talk, Dale will reveal how John Flaxman’s work inspired her commission for York Art Gallery’s exhibition Turner, Wedgwood and Beyond: Inspired by Flaxman; why she focussed on particular works in the exhibition and what she hopes audiences might gain from seeing his work through her eyes.

Nicola has presented exhibitions and performances across the UK and internationally. Her work is represented in both private and institutional collections. She is based in Manchester. For more information about the artist, please visit nicoladale.com
