‘Shaping the Body’ Issues Discussed on BBC Radio 4 Programme, ‘Woman’s Hour’

26 March 2016

York Castle Museum’s Senior Curator Ali Bodley featured on the Friday 25 March 2016 edition of the BBC Radio 4 programme, ‘Woman’s Hour‘, discussing the new Shaping the Body exhibition with costume historian and author, Lucy Adlington.

This major new exhibition looks at the way fashion, food and fitness have shaped the body over the last 400 years and features objects such as an arsenic-laced dress, an iron corset, and crotchless pantaloons from the time of Jane Austen (as discussed in the radio programme!).

Visit the BBC Radio 4 website here to find out more.
