Since September last year I have been occupied with a project for York Art Gallery researching the nineteenth century history of the York School of Art.
In 1937 F.D.Lycett Green bought a picture from an art dealer in London to hang in his home in Kent.
The cleaning of the front façade of the gallery has recently been completed and thanks to a generous grant from The Pilgrim Trust, we have also been able to conserve and protect the two historic tile panels on the front façade.
