- Description
- Plain wide diamond section double edged blade. Brass hilt with double shell guards, knucklebow with side bars from the shells, spherical pommel with knop. Side shels decorated innside and out with a cast design featuring a crowned lion's head with lion and unicorn supporters flanked by what appears to be a figure of a man by a tree and possibly an angel. supposedly representing the commonwealth troops seeking King Carles II prior to the restoration. The grip is entirely bound with twisted brass wire.
