Description
Antefix of ceramic building material, depicting a female head. Described in Eboracum as "Antefix, in terra-cotta, of rectangular form with gabled top and rearward projection to fit into an imbrex. The face exhibits a rudimentary female bust in a hooded frame, surrounded by segemented stalk like ornamment [although this is not as clear on this example as it is on others]. This example is lsightly larger, but the figure has breasts developed and wear a head-dress and has a leaf flankin geach side of the face."
