Description
An earthenware stand and cover. The stand sits on a circular foot, the edges of the bowl moulded with foliage forming a pair of handles. The stand is decorated with pale blue transfer prints of foliage and swags with interlaced borders. The centre of the bowl has a print of the 'India Star', hence the pattern name. The cover is dome shaped with a handle on top moulded in the shape of a twig with foliage edged in pale blue; it has a transfer print border of geometric patterns, foliage and flowers.
