Curator’s Choice- The Triumph of Pan – Wed 18 Sep 2019

Nina Cahill McCrindle Curatorial Fellow of Paintings 1600 – 1800
Nicolas Poussin’s The Triumph of Pan is one of the National Gallery’s most significant works and will be the centrepiece of a new exhibition at York Art Gallery this summer.
The work depicts a mythical celebration of nymphs and satyrs revelling before a statue of Pan, the god of woods and fields. Curatorial Fellow of Paintings 1600-1800 Nina Cahill will be joining us from the National Gallery to discuss the painting and answer questions afterwards.
This event is free with your gallery admission. There’s no need to book.
